Here's a meditation that let's you quite your mind. I learned something similar from an instructor and wrote this into prose. It's from Tibetan yoga. Your brain can recover from exhaustion with just a 15 minute rest unlike your body which takes 7 or 8 hours. So, it's a good practice if you take in a lot of information during the day. There are also 6 yoga poses that go with it that stimulate areas in your body to release stress and let you sleep. If you're reading it yourself you are active and not able to disconnect, so you need someone to read it to you in a calm voice, or record yourself and play it back.
a meditation
join me on a journey
sit back where you are
your arms stretched out and down
your back rested and your head at ease
begin to breath
and focus on the experience of breathing
let it be everything
let go of your tension so that your
breathing becomes effortless
let your soul be free
focus on the experience of breathing
so that you are centered
now as the thoughts in your mind
bubble up from your subconscious
realize each of everything
recognize each thought
and then accept what your minds eye sees
and then let go of the thought
and enter into the next thing
as you do this you will neutralize
the thoughts that
consume your mind
the vibrations
as you continue to breath
notice the sound of your breathing
as you breath in your breathing
sounds like so
as you breath out
your breathing sounds like hum
as you breath in and out and feel
the vibrations of your breathing
and the sound so hum
then let your mind be freed
and your body fall too rest
slip away to
as the vibrations
of your song touch your body
and soul you will realize
the walls and shells that we
live in with the physical world
as they unfold and slip away
and leave your soul for you to see
your minds eye
the bubble that you feel is your minds eye
and will expand as you need
and you will begin your travel
to infinity
let it be everything
let it be everything
these are the thoughts
that come to
my page it is the
age of the soul
in summary
be free
breath everything free realize eye enter
let your spirit breath
let it become everything
let your soul be free
realize each of everything
accept all that your minds eye sees
enter into the next thing
